Ukrainamorgen: Victory for Ukraine

After more than years of full-scale war is a victory possible for Ukraine? What does a Victory look like and what should Norway and Europe do support a Ukrainian Victory. What will be the consequences if Ukraine doesn’t win? About the speakers: - Hanna Hopko is a Ukrainian leading civil society leader and politician, a former Member of Parliament and head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada. She is the founder and Head of the Board of ANTS National Interests Advocacy Network co-founder of the International Center for Ukrainian Victory, and Warsaw Security Forum International Advisory Council member. Hopko is an expert in advocacy, on Russian expansionism and hybrid warfare. She was one of the civic leaders of the EuroMaidan during Ukraine's Revolution of Dignity. Hopko was elected to Parliament from the pro-European Self-Reliance Party in 2014 and later served as an independent MP. - Peter Christian Frølich is a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party. He has been a member of the Parliament since 2013 and has chaired the Storting's Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence since March 2026. He became a member of the Conservative Party's executive committee in 2025. Frølich is one of the founders of the association Fritt Ukraina (Free Ukraine) and served as its chairman until March 2026. In 2023, Frølich was awarded Ukraine's Order of Merit, 3rd class; he received the order from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. - Dr. Karsten Friis is a Research Professor in NUPIs Research group on security and defence. His research area is security and defense policies in Europe, with an emphasis on NATO, the Nordic region, the Arctic, transatlantic relations, intelligence, cyber security and the Western Balkans. He has published and led several major projects on these topics. Friis is also a frequently used commentator in the public discourse - not least in relation to Russia’s war against Ukraine. Friis is a political scientist with a PhD from the University of Groningen, a Cand. Polit from the University of Oslo and an MSc from the London School of Economics. Friis has been associated with NUPI since 2007. Before that, he was a political adviser to the OSCE Mission to Serbia (2004 to 2007), the OSCE in Montenegro (2001) and in Kosovo (1999). Friis was also part of the EU's negotiating team for the referendum on independence in Montenegro in 2006. In addition, Friis has worked for several years in the Norwegian Armed Forces and served at NATO/KFOR in Kosovo.
